Midnight Phantom

The clock struck midnight,
Gone was morning’s light.
As hope left ajar,
As the sun stayed afar.
Here comes another fear.
Detest and scare is near.
I curled nervous in my bed
As I felt motion dead.
It began once more,
The midnight ghost my mind once bore.
The images and figures, my hallucinations.
The hopes and prayers, my hyperventilation.
My eyes I shut and pray
That these figures only came to play.
Now I doubt myself right,
After all, this isn’t plain sight.
Years and years of scare
Gave me little more to bear.
It all started with an ancient book
That left me hanging on the hook.
A book of soul incarnation,
A book that haunts your salvation.
I read of curiosity,
My morals were of scarcity.
Now I face eternal music.
I’m facing grave, long was I sick.
Every midnight, after then,
I witness my phantom in my slumber den.
He vows to get my soul,
And my heart in a bowl.
Tonight, I see him again,
With more companions, he gain.
Ho never spoke nor talk.
He just comes through no matter the lock.
He comes to haunt,
To ease my fear not.
He comes to punish
The one who banish
Him, his soul and his diary
In thou midnight fiery.
