hiding behind walls searching for my place my life.

I'm familiar with this place

like a fighter knows his enemy

I've been unsuccessful at remaining

free, must be wasting my energy

As I walk these halls and I eat

these meals

I believe there's not a soul on

earth who knows how I feel

It's like this is my home and

society is my prison.

When I'm released it's like I

am getting out to visit

I've never saw heaven but I'm

here stuck in this cell

in and out in and out its

a cycle of living hell.

You can't walk in my shoes so

don't judge me where I fall

just pray I'll stay free this time

and not hide behind these walls
