I had a night when i was really upset. Rather than letting the frustration bother me too much, i wrote a poem about how i felt.

Arms pinned, body braced
This heart ache has been placed
The fear rises, the tears threaten to fall
There’s a time to face this pain after all.
Can’t breathe, can’t speak
God I’m just too weak.
It’s closing in on all sides
And it’s not falling back like the ocean tides
I grit my teeth and furrow my brow
I really can’t take this right now.
What I used to hide is now revealed
The hurt can no longer stay sealed.
I close my eyes and fall on my bed
The pillow isn’t enough cushion for this aching head
Nothing makes sense I can’t focus
It’s eating at my soul like a swarm of locust
It all goes silent
This storm’s no longer violent
I let myself scream out
The pillow muffled my shout
Tears stop flowing
This anger I will no longer keep stowing.
