Opposites attract...Is that a fact? Then why is the day white and the night black? If opposites attract is a fact, then why when I eat a burger a vegan steps back. I am not trying to change the universe. Just asking questions in a free verse, I curse the man or woman who said you can’t have light without the dark. So obvious! Can u have a dog without a bark? A birth without a mark? Cliches and sayings that had meaning to the writer, and yes somedays they make ideas sprout and days brighter. But Cliches receive praise, but do they really raise the haze, over your eyes, you seem surprised when your circumstance stays. My only point is that words can help and uplift, but the true gift is your own mind, own thoughts, own grind and wars fought. Come up with your own cliches to overcome the maze that is life, the unseen knife of strife that stabs and rips as you try to overcome the rifts that lift and fall like valleys and mountains, the only fountain is not of youth, but of truth. Find yours and u will continually stay intact, not blemish free. Opposites attract, is that a fact? Yes...but only in chemistry.
