This is about a climb I had, how proud I was for climbing it, though, I honestly do have questions as to why I continued to go up towards the top when I really wanted to just stop and give up.

Mountain

I look upon the uprising land
Rocky and jagged
Looking dangerous
Perhaps it is
Maybe not
It might just be an illusion
Once you start climbing
You will find out
As I climb
Harder and harder
It gets.
You slip
Fall
Get cuts on hands
On legs
Though, you continue
Almost as if those cuts were not there
Why do you continue?
Is it from fear of going downward
Or is it the wanting of getting closer and closer
Till you reach it
The top
Once you have reached it
It’s beautiful
The mountains
The sky
The clouds which rest right above you a few feet high
Almost as if you could jump up and touch
The mountain.
