She told me that I wrote the words and to some degree, that is true. "Our Life's Song" is just like any other song ever written. It has a beginning, a middle, and an end. We are still in the middle of our song, her and I. Maybe someday we will write the last chapter of it. So did I put the words on paper? Yes, but her and I wrote the lyrics, and soon we might still become one.

Time is standing, standing still,
So close I am to cresting this hill.

The hill of life I've been climbing so long,
Looking for one to complete life's song.

A song's many faces could be happy or sad,
or actually be naughty, and what about mad?

All of these feelings are what life is about,
loving each feeling without any doubts.

Accepting these feelings, now that is the key,
and open discussions so both then can see.

Have traveleda lifetime to find that one,
a song soon complete, I feel I can run!

The journey soon over, the work close to done,
two write the lyrics and then becomes one.

Then life, as they say, could be all downhill,
no more hard climbing and taking those spills.

Knowing those feelings learned all through life,
always holding them close and not out of sight.

Together the journey will always be strong,
embracing the feelings we wrote in "Our Life's Song".

I guess you could say that we are all looking for our lifes song. Some of us find it early on in life, others it takes a while, and then some might never find there way in life. I know that I have made some choices in my life that will be a part and some that are a part of who I am. This poem makes me realize never to regret the things that I have done just take them as a chance to know who you are and where you belong in life. Keep on writing and I will keep on reading.

Thank you... A song has feelings just as life does... in both instances, accepting these feelings, now that is the key, and open discussions so both then can see... be it a partner in life to someone or a song writer to the listener. Two write the lyrics and then becomes one.

I loved it! The pieces of yours I have read thus far have been excellent. I really like your style. Reading this piece reminded me of how I felt writing "Forever and Always."
