Deep British greenery that filled my eyes,
sunsets over flats in the western skies.

The smell of history that filled the air,
ghosts of kings that still seemed there.

The sense of royalty everywhere you go,
at Diana’s memorial the waters did flow.

Buckingham Palace with it’s gates of gold,
and London buildings hundred’s of years old.

The beautiful fountains of Trafalgar Square,
in the distance from it's steps Big Ben stood there.

At a River Thames bistro a coffee we did share,
a mist of London rain falling and nobody cared.

Weather in England like this is quite the norm,
umbrellas are up, but the hearts are still warm.

My heart filled with feelings and things I did see,
what made it all special, is she shared it with me.

The purpose of my trip was to see eye to eye,
true love in our hearts that certainly did tie.

It’s now my quest to return to her to be in my life,
and share the rest of my days with her as my wife.
