Moonlight and sunshine pass eachother at the start and end of each day. But as the light sleeps its time for the darkness to awake

As the darkness rises

over the sun lit moor

the shadows begin fading

from the valley floor

The moonlight is shining

projecting a silver glow

as the gentle winds which are whistling

begin to softly blow

The silence is approaching

seeping through the door

everything is silent

and the sun is no more

The homes are almost quiet

and the people are in bed

they sleep until the sunshine

casts light upon their head
