Daniel Kwasi Twum-Acheampong is a talented and skillful soccer player who was captain and star defender of his high school soccer team at Eastern Regional High School.  During the years that he was playing for his team The Vikings, he received numerous accolades and was well recognized for his contributions towards the success of the team. He won the SJSCA South Jersey Defensive Player of the year 2010. His team won various titles including  1st Team all South Jersey, 1st team all Olympic American Conference 2009-2010, 1st Team all South Jersey Group IV 2009-2010, 1st Team all-state, NSCAA 2nd Team all-region, and ADIDAS 2nd Team all-region. His speed on the field and dedication to the sport were appreciated by his peers and coaches alike.  

His family nurtured his inner talents and inspired him to do bigger and better things.  In addition to being good at soccer, Daniel Kwasi Twum-Acheampong was also enjoyed trying his hand at playing the guitar and writing songs.  Not only was this something that he enjoyed doing during his leisure time, but it also acted as source of peace and calming for him.  

From a very young age, his parents taught him the value of giving back to society and since 2007, Daniel Kwasi Twum-Acheampong has been volunteering for the African Book Challenge in Voorhees , New Jersey.  This is a nonprofit organization that collects monetary funds and other donations like books, school supplies, and sporting equipments and sends them back to schools in the villages of Ghana.  Having been involved in this organization for 6 years, Kwasi understands the value of their actions and how fulfilling it can feel to be a part of such a wonderful humanitarian venture.  

Besides soccer and playing the guitar, Kwasi’s other hobbies include playing volleyball, golf, lacrosse, and tennis. He also volunteers for Outreach 360, and is a volunteer soccer coach for elementary kids with the Voorhees Soccer Association.
