AS LIGHT AS LIFE

When i was a child,i sat on my parent’s bed
“there’s something we wanna tell you “ they said
We want you to be the best engineer, dear son
I knew what they meant, but did not give a damn
I would study only till learning was fun.

When i was 20,to my love’s house all roads led
“there’s something i wanna tell you”she said
Lets just break up now,for i cant hear the wedding bells
I knew what she meant, but did not give a damn
For i could always marry someone else.

When i got a job,faced an ugly boss,named ted
“there’s something i wanna tell you”he said
Even without you this company can run
I knew what he meant, but did not give a damn
Since this job was not the only one.

When i got married,i soon became a dad
“there’s something i wanna tell you “my wife said
Always lock the doors,or outside our little son might stroll
I knew what she meant, but did not give a damn
For i knew that soon, over him i would have no control.

When i was 80,my wife was on death-bed
There is something i wanna tell you”she said
This is my final goodbye,my last breath
I knew what she meant ,but did not give a damn
Because soon i too joined her in the after-death

When i left my body, and joined the dead
“there’s something i wanna tell you”st. Peter said
Go To hell, you were not much liked on earth
I knew what he meant, but did not give a damn
He had told me there’s always a rebirth.
