I manage to stumble on trouble at night.

The gallows are dark with ghastly old trees,

The shadows all lurk and wrap around me,

And monsters will scuffle and tussle and bite.

I pray for a weapon,

A chance to prevail,

To fend off these evil fiends.

The flames, they did beckon,

They danced on their tails,

A menace to you, even me.

“Give me some might, shed me some light, tonight holds my darkest hour”!

They heard not my cries, assistance denied, my soul was the harvest, devoured.
