Darkness comes from falling suns,

It creeps across the sky.

Chasing after light of day.

A tale of you and I.

Rivers keep a steady flow,

And critters scuttle by.

Marching, whisper evil things.

Mess-engers of the night.

Where is Mary at this time?

Mind of mine entrapped in flames.

Brain estranged, I take flight.

To arise once again.

With the power of a phoenix,

I survive another plague.

Why do I give my endless trust,

To days that I must chase?

Why do you run? What have I done?

She pushes me away.

As nocturne, I shall not return,

To-days of being tame.

Where is Mary at this time?

Mind of mine engulfed in flames.

Brain estranged, I take flight.

This life is but a game.

If ever comes a circumstance,

A chance for me to be,

Presented to your magic trance,

I'd want it all for me.

The greed would be enough to cast,

A city to the sea.

The moon-shade knows no sin so I,

Wel-come it happily.

Where is Mary at this time?

Mind of mine erupts in flames.

Brain escapes, we take flight.

So this is how it's played.

Checkmate.
