though mother says that there is no special one

amidst the three, one stands alone, almost

untouchable---

though scalding hot boiling water buckets of

punishment

have poured down upon the heads of the other two,

every which way along the distinctly different paths,

one flower stays in the sun, growing & developing

be her/him cuter, smarter, more talented, or

conversely

the liar, the cheater, the thief, the killer &

still the comfortable pats on the back rain down

creating tension amongst the other two &

throwing gas on the fire of sibling rivalry between

them---

competing for the attention that the third only seems

to gain,

the battle rages on, throughout the lives of the three,

constantly trying to one-up each other, the two whose

light

simply wasn’t catered too in the same manner,

attempt to tear each other into shreds

for the chance to step over their mutual sister/brother

in hopes of feeling better & in the last rash attempt to

not pass along the bad habit to their own kids.
