the thunder clashes---it redirects the passion already in the room---the lawyer makes his way to the judge---in another part of said fair city, a man walks into a room he was told would be empty---the money on the table has been set next to a pile of “illegal” substances & no one seems to be around to stop him from doing what it is that he was told to come to this room to do---as indiana with his temple of doom, the man reaches for the substances with his left hand, while angling for the cash with his right---simultaneously while picking up both, there are two shotgun blasts which echo throughout the once empty room---the man in question, “mr. indiana,” he flies without wings, forward, almost splitting in half when the double slugs slice through him---blood showers out of him as a small pool would splash when a fat man hurls himself in---back in the courtroom the suited & perfectly fit liar tells the court that there was absolutely nothing that happened to said indiana, and that instead of the story being told by indiana’s defense, the real story is one of deceit, treason, etc. etc.---in another part of town, somewhere where neither the lawyers in question, nor indiana himself might have known, a third wing of this story brews---this is the one that brings the two together---that third party which puts the money in the lawyer’s pockets & the bullets in indiana’s chest.

further down the street in that other part of town, the man in question who would have been able to help indiana, he sits in spa getting a foot massage from a woman whose breasts so perky and lips full---it will most surely arouse him to break out his wallet, extending this footjob to a handjob & then to a blowjob (if she agrees to overtime).

justice is as justice does & in this town justice comes with a money clip and a long pinky finger nail---dusted with white powder & waiting for the next gust of blow to coast in from the shore.

what we find in following indie’s story is that there is something that he wasn’t telling us---we who have watched him from the beginning, in the papers, on the screens---listening to him on the radio, with our i-versions of whatever sound producing device you want to fashion---yes, we are suspect. why is it that we ourselves did not alert the young man? did not one of us come to the realization that he was in grave danger? did we ponder it too long? as col. jessep would offer, “is there any other kind?”

so we find ourselves defenseless, quickly, when learning of indie’s demise---we don’t know all of the when, the where & the how, but we know enough that with the constant demise of our rights found in said “democracy,” as the patriotic acts keep piling up in congress & keep getting passed by the president, we will come ever closer to the experience which indie has undergone, and ultimately failed.
