Remote,like memories of Winter's chill
In these simmering summer days.
Those thoughts are still with me,
Yet,suspended in a haze.
Sometimes I almost reach them
In the stillness of the night,
Then they melt away so quickly
With the coming of the light.
And as I sit and cry
I start to wonder why,
When Fate threw the dice,
She gave me a glimpse of Paradise.
