When they said I had a tumour
I kind of lost my sense of humour.
I hadn't got a clue
about what I should do.
I knew I mustn't cry
I really had to try
to be brave as I could be
for my precious family.
So I decided to get through it
in the best way I could do it.
I didn't winge or whine,
I didn't give one sign
when it got too much for me,
because of my family.
There were times when it was grim
and I felt out there on a limb,
but there were times I felt quite blessed
by the friends that I possessed.
I didn't think that I could do it,
but somehow I got through it.
Now I'm feeling very pleased
I may have beaten this disease.
My sense of humour has returned
and there is so much I have learned.
