Monochrome

In the deepest darkness
Is born the brightest light
Deception that pierces our souls
Beneath it is truth that holds

Just like the two faces of a coin
One side head and the other tail
When heads are like the light
And tails as dark as night

First rays of the morning sun
Cast itself on the sleeping earth
The light descends into the park
The shadows lurk within the dark

Something that I’ve always known
Is that in life there’s always
Two contrasts like black and white
That tells apart the wrong from right

I choose my life and destiny
I decide to lead it my own way
I live holding onto my sanity
Knowing I’ll find light one day.
