Standing by the door

Should I go

I don't know

Thinking of the next great wonder

Let it drag me under

I can breathe under water

Standing in the breezeway

What am I doing

Nothing much

Am I losing touch

There's a whirl wind wipping around here

And a roach on the step

I've been practicing

At trying

A trick

In seeing the beauty in all things

Look at the dead insect

Look at the litter in the gutter

And it no longer matters

Am I as free as those things are free

Will I ever be
