Through the bush and tree I ramble
Scurrying forth through briar and bramble
Hurrying to the cave I stumble
Into my lair
Darkness lies, as thick as blood
Pouring down, as quick as a flash flood
Roaring down, beneath dirt and woods
Into my lair
The moment is now upon me
Back to my cool, damp womb
The predatorial hunger sinking
Down into the void subconscious
The vacuous sleep
Into my lair
While blood dies on my cheeks
And the hunger subsides
No dreams enter into this lair
Only a longing can come creeping
To quench it again when the pains return
And the sun races from the open eyes
I will surface again from my lair
