She's always so absently, merrily skipping

Almost dancing down the pathway

In her silky, yellow easter dress

With her ruffled hat in hand

Humming her sweet melody

The morning a shimmering, sparkling delight

As always, she so goes

Without the faintest flicker of recognition of me

An apparition

Of a hundred years past

And the hair on my neck always rises
