GRACE

Dark night,

 Rain is pouring,

 Lightning strike,

 Boom

Careless driving in an emotional tornado

Malicious goodbyes mixed with love

Tragedy near

Crash

Lightning again

Boom! Crash!

Uneasy departure, kisses goodbye

Sadness sets in, depression rampant

Tragedy around the corner

Beware screams the heart

Ignore screams the brain

Boom

Thunder rumbling

Strike lightening

Wheels to the road and heart on the floor

Petal to the metal and danger ever more

Tragedy is now

Squealing tires

Lights flashing

World spinning

All control is lost

All hope is lost

Crash

Squeal

Boom

End

Silence everywhere

Slight tapping

Rain on the roof

Consciousness resumes

Life again in the heart instead of the eyes

Senses return

Click

The seatbelt off and the door open

Ring the phone

Help is on the way

Death evaded but life forever altered

Rain is driving

Irony

Crash

Lightening again

Shrink away

Deep to the dark corners of the mind

Avoid the crash

Avoid the crash

Again, reality resumes

Person secure, car crashed

Tires squeal

Yet no wounds to heal

Luck

Grace

Divine intervention

Pick one

Pick three

Help has arrived

Help was there the whole time

Truth astounding

Mind rattled

Frame fine

Second wave

Crash

Survival

Truth has stuck

Car gone

Life is safe

No one hurt

Water in eye

Not rain

Tears stream

Safety reached

Warm light surrounds

Life returned

Divine intervention
