Shadow.....

The dark sky rumbled, singing its own song

Thunder claps and lighting storm, Whispering pitter patter…

Outlined by the flash, was a single soul,

Head bent in sorrow and tears in her eyes

Lost in thought, putting one foot in front of the other

Amongst the thunder claps and lighting storm, whispering pitter patter…

She pulled her drenched cloak closer, as she walked and shivered

To her destiny unknown, far off a light flickered

A shadow walked along in the rain,

The lost life, a floating soul in pain,

Amongst the thunder claps and lighting storm, whispering pitter patter…

With every lighting strike she wondered,

Will he ever walk in step with her, hold her hand

Say the words she longed…. Never with her, never without her

He was the shadow, and shadow he would remain forever

Amongst the thunder claps and lighting storm, whispering pitter patter…
