I seperated a persons life in three parts. It is told from the childhood friends point of view.

Beautiful melodies surround our heads
As we laugh and smile
Our innocence spread
Throughout ourselves
We don’t worry about, the time, fading away.
As time goes by,
You’re slipping, I say.
To the drink and the monster
You’re learning its way.
You don’t hear me anymore.
Where have you gone?
Your passion, it’s just not there.

I see you now, broken inside
Pieces scattered with every man that you’ve done.
I won’t question your life
I won’t interfere, but now
You have a son.
I look from afar,
You don’t notice me there.
Your baby is crying
Your hands in your hair.
Pulling, thrashing, you don’t like what you are.
What, you have become.

You approach me one day
And you start to cry.
Your eyes swollen from, the bruises and lies.
The lies that he promised, for a better life.
You believed him.
I took you home, and we talked all night.
You told me about your troubled life.
A few months went by; you’re past caught with you.
I still remember those days.

When our innocence was new
