Like a stone thou lay’th in thy heart, heavily
Living in the shadow of thy mind’s eye
Immovable, thou weighted memory
My sad recall thee refute and belie
Thou art as a jewel filled river bed
The dappled sunlight magnifies thou’s worth
Though fleeting is the sun, I have not dread
Thou’s place in sweet memory doth preserve
But, thou too elicit volcanic thoughts
A rage o’ fire and brimstone buried deep;
And my despairs crushing mass, thee contorts.
Though thine eyes doth seep, brother, thou’s gemstone I reap
For thy tear, is a diamond of thee;
And thus, forever precious thou shall be
