I was thinking how often I use love in my comments and how those really free hearts find it easier you use. I envy those who can say love and mean it. Now Love and Envy..there is something else to muse on

Love, the Holy Grail of Words

The word love is the Holy Grail

It is not a product in a sale

If love does not surge within

Then written down it is just spin.

To write love and mean it

To feel it and believe it

Those who use love lightly

But mean it mightily

To me they are higher souls

People with purer goals

Love, I use like extra hot chilli sauce

Just a little dash of course

Used rarely.

Applied sparingly

Like chilli love is addictive

Love should not be predictive

I am told love has a scale

Different types of love prevail

Maternal, paternal

Friendship eternal

I only see one kind,

Not categorized or refined

Love to me is absolute

Of all fine emotion it is the square root

On one hand I count who I hold dear

Those I hold very near

Those who I cry for

Those I would willingly die for

My love is stunted

That elusive feeling I have hunted.

It’s is not that my love does not exist

Just it’s too high up on my list

If I write love and have to ask really?

Then it is love that is just nearly

For fear of sounding fake

When my views you partake

I will change that adjective

To something less superlative

The upshot of this self-imposed restriction

My written love is not fiction

When placed its heartfelt and meant

The strongest of feelings I do vent

Love is the king of words for a reason

Missed used it and it is treason

(a little bit for Mike, just because it popped into my head)

Punishable by death

Or if not that

A lung full of dog breath

Dibs
