Silent Screaming

Painted in to a picture

Trapped without sound

SCREAMING!

Twisted, contorted

Suspended, voiceless

All they say in morbid fascination is

‘Why does he scream?’ and ponder a while

Before turn away fearing a connection.

Of being drawn in, incarcerated by their nightmares

They leave him to SCREAM on in SILENT eternity

I am not alone in this frozen inferno

Behind our everyday faces

Helplessly we clasped our ears

With abject despair, gauntly we stare

Back out of THE SCREAM

Alas, I hear you

But my voice is mute too

We are but framed emotions

Viewers move on, and be thankful.

But know the artist’s brush waits for you.
