There are any small voices at Booksie...thank you

Small Voices

========

When is enough, enough?

When the small voices of compassion stop

When can one take no more?

When the small voices of reason are silent

========

I live there, at the point of pointlessness

But the small voices still whisper hope

I am still there, the climb looks too great

But the small voices offer help

=========

Doubt, regret, fear, anger scream loudly

 Small voices drowned

When the small voices of love end

Then so do I

=====

I like this. The line I liked best was an oxymoron. "I live there at the point of pointlessness" good imagery and props. Keep up the good work!

A well writ crying out is heard with a feeling of sorrow. Be well, Dibs. Take care. Kindest regards, Connie

Dibs we are never "alone" in this world, there are always people who care if we reach out. We should always allow the small voices in, never cut ourselves off.
I thought as a poem this was written with poignant brevity and said just enough, very succinctly.

Quite right Anna, 'alone' is a state of mind, one that we can all fall into at times. Thank you for your clear and balanced prospective.

There was a time I could not hear the small voices at all. Today they are faint but I know they are there

We are all small voices Dibs, with luck somebody is listening. And you are never truly alone though you may be lonely at times. On Booksie all you have to do is talk and most of those you have come to know will always listen.

Yes, Booksie is a wonderful place to help explore the workings of your mind and express whatever emotions there lay. I have been here just over six months and can honestly say the small voices here have enriched my life

Thank you for adding your small voice to the others

Small voices... this links to my thoughts on your comment on my Sleeping Angel poem...that what I create are echoes of the figments floating in my mind at the moment ... yeah, like the small voices - as long as you always come back to love & hope, it's all good :-)

Shannan, thank you for reading and commenting. I agree totally. Love and hope is the positive side of humanity and the place we must always strive to exist in

We strain harder to hear the whispering voices and run from those that shout.

Thank you for the read :)
