Speaking Only To Him
From a simple line great meaning are spun
Gossamer thin they drift upon the wind
Stronger than steel in their appeal
Arched eloquences passing by one by one
Blind eyes scornful grin at the dullard gathering them in
Fist bound gossamer thread, heavy with expectation
Gentle as butterfly wings his hand unfurls
Away from the guffaws he peers in
A hand full of lines each gracefully placed
Each strand elastic in its measured length
Subtle in form beats each cord
United as one life force loudly the call
Open palm, open heart the strands are him
Compact and deceiving but to a pliable mind
Thrifty words impact in explosive lines
Not what can be read but what can be felt
A marriage of reader and author it could be said
Touched by the pen of a great hand
On invisible thermals he climbs
Immense in understanding soaring high on knowledge’s wings
No longer a dullard, but capable of great things.
