System restore

Yesterday I crashed

My hard drive trashed

All my data confused

My memory used

Information super highway

Reduced to a byway

My OS defunct

Ready to be junked

But then the PC doctor came

Loaded in my main frame

A magical parachute patch

 That my electronics did latch

Hard drive began whirring

Screen began blinking and stirring

Shut down and rebooted

New life computed

Bits and bytes spring to life

Keys itching to write

Upon the screen

Words fill the scene

THANK YOU they say

FOR THE LIGHT YOU DISPLAYED

ON A DARK LONELY DAY.

Below in DOS font

No need for a prompt

Repair is complete

Run disc to repeat

Bad sectors removed

System restored

Thanks Attanasio, I had an idea of what apropos would mean, but I did have to check myself.

Your comments are always have thoughtful apropos attached. Can I use it like that?

Very clever, wonderful analogy. Wish there was a reset button on my brain at times.

Sure, my reset is faulty, sets its self, mostly just when Idon't want it too. Trick is to get someone else to press your buttons.

Boy, there's nothing scarier than your system crashes! It happened o me, but luckily our neighbor, who works at a computer place, came over and restored it. There's nothing quite like that feeling with thinking all your work, in my case years, is forever banished to the land of no retrieval: Great, true Panicville poem!

yeah, you've been there for real, I admire you. I had a big wobble this week, but thanks to the bleeding hearts at booksie. I managed to shake of the duldrums and get back on track.

Great to here from you mate!
