Trouble in Paradise
Down at the Roberts on Malibu Beach
Where most people’s finances couldn’t reach
Big trouble was coming, a storm was brewing
Ken cried “our paradise they will ruin”
Barbie turned pink and totted about
Felt quite sick and promptly passed out!
It turned out that Malibu was more than just sand
There was a gallon of liquid gold in the land
So a truck with its drills and itspipes
Permits all stamped with all the correct rights
Pulled up and into the yard it did reverse
Barbie’s still out, her head Ken still did nurse.
I’ll set it up here my rig and my gear
Said a beefy guy by the name of Duel Steer
Slowly Barbie came round
To rumbling drills in the ground
She looked up at Ken who was all in a fret
Why was he was holding her and not stopping them yet?
This would not do, it was not good enough
Ken was the man. He was supposed to be tough
Stiff legged she stumbled to her feet
Ken was a wimp but she would not accept defeat
Hey you there, yes you, she hollered at Duel
Get your junk off of my land you lumbering fool
You’re not drilling in my yard, clear out all your muck
Duel flexed a muscle. ‘Listen doll I don’t give a ..umm buck’
Then gave Barbie a cheeky wink and a grin
The sort of look that a guy gives when he know he is in
What poor Ken did not know was his girl like this stuff!
A little bad language, muscles, she like a piece of rough
Barbie felt weak at the knees as the rig man move near
As she thought of his drill and gasped “ohhh Mr Steer”
Ken snapped and jumped up as mad as a box of frogs
And pulled out a long plank from a pile of logs
He hit Duel right over the head, so incensed his plastic did boil
You come here and taking my girl, you come her drilling for oil!
Dazed and confused the rig man looked up reeling from the hits
“Wait a minute man, we’re kids toys so we don’t have no ‘bits’”
“I’m not taking your girl, or drilling for oil, you will see”
“I’m drilling for blancmange for the kid’s tea.”
Around the kitchen table three children did play
A doll in each hand as mother bowls and spoons did lay
Three large and three small for children, Duel, Barbie and Ken
With a wave of the spoon mother asked “Who’s for pink oil then?”
