This was the day I left. I took a picture of her through the back windshield of my uncles car as we drove off.

She looks

beautiful

in the doorway,

in golden sunlight and 

bitter coldness on

her soft tan skin.

Her eyes speak volumes to me.

I wish more than anything

that I could

stay.

Is this the 

end?

We both knew the answer

but we lied

to eachother anyway.

 

We lied to ourselves.

 

I am in darkness now.

It surrounds me fully,

engulfing my every pore.

I know she is out there

somewhere,

in a doorway,

looking back

and speaking without words.

She is my always.

And now

time has run out for me.
