Lots of words, arranged in ways to make you relate or not.
If not. There are plenty more word arrangements to read.

Lines run deep in

thirsty cheeks.

Been tempted to

oblige them for

days now.

Tear ducts dried up

when heroes failed

and heart beats hardened

and faces turned away

to hide their horror.

Stillborn.

Still living.

Ive been dying for 22 years

but it makes no difference when

or how long.

Because all we do

is take different paths

from the hospital

to the cemetary.

Saturday Night

Very deep Dino. Beautifully written expression of inner pain. I hope this isn't where you are at right now. If it is, I wish you hope and faith in the endless nights. SN

Dino! I haven't caught any other new posts as of late...I'll have to check your profile to see if I've been missing some! This was, as SN said, "very deep" indeed. I found the last line especially poignant. Perfect. So true. I truly enjoy your writing. Hope to see more soon! And yes, I certainly hope this isn't auto-bio for you right now. I wish you well----Tesseth

I'm with SN all the way, I like the simplicity of it, yet containing so much depth...great poem:)

Ditto to all the above comments---ah to be 22 again---don't leave us yet--you won't believe how quickly the years go--good times or sad times, it's over way too soon...:)

Wow! I read this aloud and the effect was fantastic. I second Leesah, the simplicity of this poem and the depth just had me hooked.
