With skill and quickness
with dexterity of hand
is a body part suspended

with spin of tube
with application of current
rips a silent explosion through the air
generating a discharge of imperceptible rays

attenuated corrosion of x-ray beam
concentrated on bone and flesh
consumed in a quiet way
transmitted through patterned decay

with contrast of grey
with density of black
is anatomy captured in a moment of pause
