okay, so i posted this before, but it was crappy and apparently didn't work. so, here goes. Read the prologue. :) It'll make you wanna read MORRREE!

Prologue: the letter…:
I didn’t have anyone to explain this to me, so I’m going to sit and explain it to you. I’m going to explain why I have to leave and can’t be with you. I’ll explain why I can’t change you, and I’ll apologize for growing so close and then running away. You deserve this explanation out of everyone else.
There are many different branches of my kind. There’s the Romanians, which I’m sure you’ve heard about. That’s where Dracula was from, remember when we were watching that movie? Remember how pale he was? And good-looking? The Bulgarians are freaks of nature. They can never co-exist among humans. They’re one nostril will stick out too much. In Russia, they’re the rebelling witches against the church. I suppose the existing legends of what I am would’ve been safe if the Persians didn’t open there big mouths.
Notice how I didn’t say anything about Arizona. Well, typically, we’ve got a creature of our own, but it’s not good enough for any website or book. There are things that are good, and many more that are bad…
I’m sure you have noticed that I look human, but you know that’s not the truth. You’ve always been the one that knew me better than anyone In heaven, hell, or Earth. You were the only one that could ever read me better than I could read myself.
So, you must’ve noticed some unique characteristics too. You must’ve noticed that my skin was too pale for Arizona, even when I told you I came from Alaska. You must’ve noticed that when ever you asked me to go out, I’d make plans for nighttime, and when we camped out, I’d steer clear of the fire. I mean, I didn’t even roast marshmallows with you. You must’ve noticed that things that would normally kill a person barely phased me. You must’ve noticed how I never was in a group picture. You had to have noticed that I shied away from you when you got that new cross necklace. Remember? You threw it into the lake. Most of all, you must’ve noticed how I drew you in…
I’m not going to see you again. I can’t bring the danger to you. I won’t do it. I’m sure you’ll hear that I ran off with some guy in a flannel shirt, jeans and cowboy boots on the back of the motorcycle, and I want you to know that it’s not--, well, it is true, but he doesn’t mean as much to me as you do. If you ever get curious, look up the name Iggy Simpson. It’ll explain everything. I could never love him as I do you.
Anyways, don’t look for me because you’ll never find me. You can’t dwell on the people from your past. There is a reason why they didn’t--COULDN’T-- make it to the future. I’m sure you’ve probably heard this before, but I mean it: It’s not you, it’s me. I’m a freak of nature.
Love, forever and always,
Your little freak, Jackie
