Everyone had that one kid in their class growing up that used to bully you. It hurt you in ways that you didn't even realize until you were old enough to understand. Still, you continue to fight that bully that lives inside you as you get older.

The mean things you said to me when I was young

You were just a kid yourself, but those cruel words still rolled off your tongue

I often wondered how someone could be so cold

Why he chose to pick on me, even now, this is getting soo old

We all have to get over what those mean kids used to say

But for me, the things you said, seem to stay

Maybe because it hit me in a place that couldn't be healed

In the heart, where I couldn't sheild

You would be like a shadow that would come over and take away my sunlight

What was once a good day, you turned into spite

I often think about facing you and the words that I would say

Or maybe I would take a knife to your heart and make you feel the exact same way

Maybe you would say you were sorry or not say anything at all

But I would give anything to make you feel that small

But I know I'm not that kind of person, I wasn't then or even now

So the pain you caused me, the mean things that you said, I will have to live with, in someway, somehow
