I wrote this when I lost my uncle. He was a great man, even though we never really got to talk. I heard of all the stories told of his adventrues on the battlefield, and I wish I could have heard him tell them. So I wrote this to show how I felt, even if he can't hear the words, I do miss him.

Dear uncle Aidrian I hope you know,
that I truly respected you.
I really miss you so,
You were gone so quickly, who ever knew ?

I owe you an apology, I never came to visit,
I didn't even call and say hello.
I miss stockings you and auntie used to knit,
I miss you so much, will you ever know ?

But we honored your final wish,
I'm surprised it fit, that old uniform.
For dinner, we made you favorite dish,
my last meal before I'm back to the dorm.

I know you'd be proud of me,
I've been working so hard.
And maybe finally,
I won't be called a retard.

So I must say goodbye,
but I'll never forget you.
Not before nor after the day I die,
will I ever say, Aidrian who ?
