Sometimes I feel so down and weak. I can't seem to find myself in anything, I can't find any fulfillment. I wish I was everyone else, I thought there life seemed so easy. So I would read Isaiah 40:31 and pray. Each and every day, I'd pray and believe that God would raise me from my pit of sorrow and hold my hand as I lived another day in His will.

I didn’t grow up as someone great,
Always called odd, the one they’d hate.
I could never deny
Their were times I’d cry.
Sometimes I’d lose my cool,
Act out of line at school.
I wasn’t a popular sports superstar,
I was the one who couldn’t meet the bar.
I wasn’t a jock or a geek,
I was just plain out weak.
I’d hit the wall, have a breakdown,
I wanted to be them, or a kid with a crown.
My view changed one day,
When I went out alone to play.
An eagle soared overhead
I wished I lived the life it led.
If only I could fly,
Soar off into the sky.
I went into the Bible to read,
Hoping to find whatever I’d need.
Isaiah forty: thirty-one was what I saw,
I read it as I sat there in awe.
“They will mount up on wings like eagles”
Is this a mere coincidence?
I reached out for God’s hand,
And I found the strength to stand.
