taken from my book, "Coming To Grips"

I'm Not Crazy Anymore, But I'm Still Retarded

A horny man

Is what I am

I just want somebody

To stick it to

But lucklessly, there's nobody

__oh, why? why? why?

Well, I'll drink a lil'

And just be down

A saddened man is what I will

A look of terror

Uppon my face

A horror to look at me and see that

"I'm not" fine

I'll close my eye

And shut my heart

So no one and nothing can

Bother me

Let's face the facts

A am so lame

My brain will only operate

__such ways

That let's me know that

I've no mind

I nervously

Just start to stitch

And sow the seas of my heart

__that's been

All so torn

I speak with a childish voice

Like a retarded 30 year old

Even though

I'm not

__30 yet

Oh, I so hate my voice

The way I talk

The kind of boy I must be

To sound

I hate myself

With such self loathe

The whole damned world knows

I'm a retarded guy

maybe I should

Just grow up some more

Feel more confident

And maybe

Just maybe

Can sound my age
