In Our "Prayer Room"

-

It's election day now

I've survived the suspense somehow

Now I turn away from the boobtube

I want not to see that news

My fingers grip my pen

As whatever else I can concentrate on

Could enter my mind

Distract me from it all

Make me not think about

"Thee end of the world, as we know it"

I don't wanna lose my faith just yet

Let me not know 'til after 9

Who ever will be the president tonight
