taken from my book, "So Much For All The Money"

The Reward Wouldn't Be You

This anger within me will never leave

I blew my money on a guitar

And not a ring

Your mom didn't approve of me

And I never met your dad

You decided to take another

"And another

And another"

Now I can't even call you

I just wanna kill ev'ry other

__man that's been with you

But even if I did

I know I can't love you again

If only I killed David Gliton

__when I still loved you

You would still be mine

Maybe I should of bought a gun

__instead, and done that

But "it's too late"

If I could do that now, I still

Even if it would only make you mad

At least I would feel happy

Knowing I was the better man
