A Lot On My Mind

Off of the hunt

That hides away

Sold like a skunk

The stanky trees

Off of the subject

I'm a Hell of a guy

Lookin' for a role

A taste of the sky

Like lookers on a run

I run with a gun

Pointed at my mind

And won like no one

If I plow thru the night

I could always lose my way

Finding myself on a levy

Sinking by the riverside

If I float

__I don't know

If I don't

__I'll go home

__to which I came

From the depths of where

__it all began

There is only one reason why I am here

"To fondle the thee ideas

Of what I am not

____to think"

If I keep going in circles

__stop me

But if you like where I'm going

Why bother?

Thee inevitable waste

That shackles my awareness

Features a lot of buttons

To push

__to cause madness

And in an aggravated mania

I will climb

Don't speak to me

Unless you want more rhymes

If the freedom from change

__is all I would gain

From letting myself go this way

The way that I do

Who can shoot

The holes in the loot

And shake the fig tree

Looking for broadcast news?

If it's leaves end up burnt

If I let myself cook

Look at the luck

__that the roots dig into

Growing like the size

__of the waves

____that roll away

Never going to look myself in thee eye

Once I pound that acknowledgement

Of all those answers

To all of my questions

Hand me over to the beast within

And I will escape this walk of life

Like refusing an apple pie

In a contest to finish them all

And then if I am caught by the net

And dragged up the hill

I'll remember what I left

As a going-away-present

Take it to your brains

And ride the trolley of life like you do

My desire to catch on fire

Will ingulf my life

You know?

It's funny

The likewise hours spent

Studying ev'rything weird about me

Always was

My joyous inspiration
