A Pillow For You

If I spill pumpkin pie all over my face

Would I really be a "cannibal"?

I got fine lines

__that they call "wrinkles"

But if the pencils shadow my dreams

Then who's coloring me?

If I head over to the grocery store

__to make a list

____like old times

How many countless mistakes of prices

__will I make?

I know I hear the window frosting

I can tell I'm not that flossy

Not a care

__to my damaged mind

Just withdrawals to my past

In an instant heartbeat

Pumpkin pie doesn't sound so bad

With you

And the "wrinkles" on my face

You'd rather se them

__that's cool

And if I'm not a colored man

What was the worry anyway?

There'll always be better things to do

With you

Than to pre-shop at the market

'Cause with you

__I will always feel at ease

I'm growing so attached to you

Long to take care of you

For the rest of your days

I'm a pillow for you
