All That God Asks Of Me

-

"I don't know if I can" think any louder

When I'm high I talk to myself too much

As if singing weren't enough

So many times I came down regretting it

I guess I have to quit now

My world is laughing at me

-

"I don't know if I can" possibly go back to it

Now that I am recovered

And if I can drain my damn brain

__of emptiness

Then I will never need nobody

Then I, myself, can be somebody

And when I am collected

I'll be in peace

All that God asks of me

Is to be clean

-

"I don't" wanna do anymore damage

Nor flop around like a salad

I can't wait 'til my quit day

I'm alright here

No need to search

For myself anywhere

For my life without a care

I got my health now

And it is so fair

I don't care who stares

Because falling on my face

__off a table

Just has to stop
