taken from my book, "Taking Our Sweet Little Time"

All That I Won't Always Know

I will scatter my brains

Into a thought dispenser

I will walk away laughing

And at a hyena, as well

When the leak in my spirit

Drips emptily over the vast beyond

I will gather all the padlocks

To fastened the chains

__that wrap around my pad

I did not just fall from the sky

Look at me

How Heavenly can I be?

I eat process food

__because it's all I can afford

Being so jobless in a needy economy

I ended up fighting the beasts

__that flew up here from Hell

All the way to up in my head

Where their words echo

__in my inner ear

Why in God's name

Was I placed to live such a way?

Only the crawling ghosts

__of lost hope

____will ever know
