Awakened, Red Faced

-

Drowning in a pit of despair

I lie on a table, about to be operated on

I showed up dead when the sky fell off

And the mystery was myself

But who the Hell would even care?

Pictures of a rafter tumbling over

Throwing ev'ry one in the water

We hit our heads on rocks

We were the risk takers that day

Wasn't worth all this

Swallowing pills

A stack of them on my palm

Up to the top of my neck

I never know what happens

When I swallow in a crazy daze

Picture perfect

This idea that I don't know what is

Just a silly little packaged man I am

Can never understand the meaning

Face dripping now with blood

All the surgeons dead around the floor around me

Now who's gonna take this rock out of me?
