Empty Remains

Enchanted lies rule thee Earth

Nobody's really coming

To save us from each other

Why wait for a miracle

When it never happens?

I dropped here

__from the skies

And full of pride

I leave not

__the world

And lay my head to die

But the sharp nails

__of the dark prince

Has clawed out my eyes

Without them I can't see

Without them I can't live

A purposeless life

__now can't even be lived

____by me

A stoned mouse

Caught in and out

__of a world where no time, at all

____can be read with my blindness

But as the ships fail to sail

My mind goes nowhere

__but to the beyond

__and all it's evil

____tell no truth

So I cannot say anything

__that you can trust as real

So ship me out of town

Do it right

Do it now

Let the seas quiver with delight

At their powers over me

And maybe the powdered dough nuts

Will taste the same forever

But I will not let the sun set sail

On a road

__to "Never"
