How Can You Battle Rejection?

I wanna pull the diamonds out of the sky above

And give them to you as as token of

Just what I'm feeling

The more I hear your voice

Grows a feeling I can't ignore

I know I said I didn't wanna hear from you

But I just missed your tone too much

Now I'm stuck in the ruts

Trying to stop myself

From giving to the non-receiving

I know you wouldn't know what to do

With another heart

That you think you would just destroy

But it feels like forever

Waiting for that to change

I know I've lost all I could lose

When I was forced to be only a friend

I'm only a mess

I can't handle it

And when I climb out of my mind

I just wanna see you on thee other side

But I know you won't be free to take

You'll be another's and another's

Because this too shall pass

I'll be walked all over by your deserting me

And be left to bleed

Cryin' for a change won't help

So I'll keep this to myself

In my world

I'll just make you an underground celebrity

A character on the world wide web

You'll hang out with my friends

And I won't be a part of any of it

God, this is how it is

My Lord, you want me to suffer this
