In The Darkness Of Withdrawal

-

I struggled to keep my brain from ticking

Ev'ryday

__I missed a minute

Thee hours I spent in contemplation

Scratches the marks

__on my skin

In a tune out from the waterfall

I yielded my forgetting

__and picked myself up

If I were to land in the rubble

Could I be stuck there

__with no way out?

Brushing past the fire of life

I kill

__about ev'ry thought in mind

Ev'ry thought in mind becomes blurry

I'm in a hurry

__to milk the cow

When the cows come home I will be dead

Lifeless

__from within

A choke of the chickens' neck

As they cluck there

__echoing in my ears

The skull of my sad eyes' head

Will roll

__off of my neck
