taken from my book, "Pray For Solution"

Into The Downpour

It's been custom

To flock with a bunch of birds

To a land in the sky

But I don't know that rout anymore

So don't fallow

When the rain fell down

And I got all wet

I felt the burden

Of carlessness

__that dripped with goo

Suddenly didn't seem like food

And then I was hungry

Waking up to the light of the moon

Just to howl

__then grunt and groan

The meat before my eyes

Stayed readily

__for me to eat

And I gathered each thought

To puke them all out

But as I stood with words

__coming out my mouth

Nothing was gonna change
