I didn't want this day to be true

Jason has been my friend

Since Element'ry school

My fondest memories of us

__growing up together

Consisted of messin' around town

__after school

When we used to ghost ride our bikes

__down what we thought was

____"Handa Hills"

Then there was pumpkin smashing

I remember when I was off my medz

And flashbacking of L.S.D.

He was always some one to hang out with

__to calm me down

Jason was a survivor

When every one else deserted him

__when he was slipped into a coma

____from a skateboarding accident

He told me I was thee only one

__who stuck around

I stuck around 'cause I knew

__that he could pull it together

And he did

He achieved a lot more in life

Than did I

A job

A home

A wife

Even if he did move to San Jose

Jason became a man

At thee old bar, Kings' Inn

__he was very popular with the ladies

Everybody loved Jason

I always thought I'd see him again

But like him

__I had to move out of town too

Jason wasn't always in Fremont

__or San Jose

There was a time he was stuck

__in Florida

And even Kentucky, I think

But he came back

And when he came back

__I may have been taller

But Jason was still taller than me

Jason's partaking in my life

Is not forgotten

Even with my amnesia

It seems like we went thru everything together

Good and bad

Well, Jason

You really have gone upstairs now

But you will always be with me

And every one here in heart

__and spirit

And at least in Heaven you can skate

If you see my father

__or Parnell Sr., or Michelle

Tell them I said "hi"

And that I'll be with you all soon

I love you, bro'

Your buddy, Duncan

No matter how many times

__I change my name, myself
